Buying a New Knife?
I am planning to buy a Benchmade 710 D2 but don't know about which type of blade should I get?
There is a satin finish which is the steel color and there is a BT2 coating which is black. Which finish would last longer against rust or overall? Which finish is better?
Should I get a plain edge or a combo edge?
I don't do much camping and when I do I always carry my machete with is partially serrated. I really just plan to use it for defense and as a just to have.

Which Finish and which edge and why?

I am really trying to see why I would get which.
1. Get the Satin finish, It looks much nicer than the BT2 plus the BT2 scatches much easier and the scratches really stand out
2. Get the Plain edge, It's much easier to sharpen and is better suited for defense purposes
