can u tell the advantages and disadvantages of linen fabric?
plz find the advantages and disadvantages of wool jute and silk as well.
Linen is a horrible fabric to work with...it stretches...and stretches...and the bottom hem always looks warped. It is even worse if you need to have them cleaned. You can't just wash them and put them back up.
Wool jute is heavy and subject to moth damage. But it's otherwise not a bad fabric. You can't wash it, so however you use it, you need to weigh in the costs of cleaning into your decision. It's also a seasonal fabric, so you would have trouble using it comfortably in the winter.
Silk is the best fabric for decorating. It keeps its shape, is easy to maintain (usually only needing basic vacuuming), and is lovely any time of the year. The only drawback is that if you're using it for window coverings, there needs to be a good lining behind it. Sun and heat do destroy silk if there's too much exposure.
