Will the Lakers still be the favorite in 2009-10 if Phil Jackson Retires?
Assuming they wrap up the Magic and win the title; if Phil leaves how do you think the Lakers will do next year?

Maybe the reason why Rambis turned down the Kings job is because there might be talk of him coaching the Lakers next year or the year after.
I was watching Phil move during the half time and it looks like he can barely move and it would not surprise me if he did retire this year if not next.
But how will the Lakers do next year? I think teams know that they can beat the Lakers, Nuggets are at home thinking we made poor plays and that is why they lost, Houston thinking we had two of our best player out and we still took them to 7 games and Blazers think they have the Lakers number. I think if Phil is there or not I think it will be hard for them to repeat because of the confidence teams are getting in the West.
